Every pets owener love their pets. They are a part of our family. Seeing them play in the garden, growing up each day, learning new tricks and showing their affection towards makes us love them.
We want to take care of our pets. Providing our pets with a safe and sound shelter to stay in is one of our top priorities when it comes to pet care.
There are a few ways in which you can convert or alter your garden shed into a shelter for your beloved pets.
Add Mesh Windows
To start off, if you don’t already have them you need to add windows to your garden shed. Windows are a good way of providing ventilation inside the shed.
So both in winter or summer your pets will not feel suffocated while they live inside your garden shed.
Now, if you have windows inside your garden shed, you need to get rid of your glass windows and replace them with ones that have mesh.
Cover the Inner Walls
You do not want your pet to get hurt or damage the interior of your garden shed. Any loose nails, wooden corners or the inner walls itself can be a danger to your pet.
One way to protect both is to cover the inner walls with any material or insulation that can withstand any damage.
You might also want to paint these insulations or add pictures to them so that they look attractive and homely to your pet.
Redesign the Door
Depending upon the size of your pet, you might want to re-design the door so that it becomes more comfortable for you to move your pet in and out of your garden shed.
You might want to add additional cat size or dog size flap in your door. You might also want to add a mesh screen on half of your door.
