· Healthy hens usually lay 1 egg per day, but this depends on the season, feed and other factors. For best results, the goal is to raise 1 or 2 more chickens per day than needed (hence 4 eggs and 5 hens per day).
· Chickens need a safe place to sleep at night and lay eggs somewhere. That’s why all our chicken coops are equipped with carefully designed additional nesting boxes with sturdy clasps, locks and hinges.
· To produce good quality eggs, your chickens need to stay happy and healthy. Ideally, they need to move as freely as possible, so it’s best to let them out during the day, whether it’s free roaming, running or using a pen.
· Chickens are susceptible to attack by foxes and other predators, so we designed the henhouse to be as fox-resistant as possible. In addition, we have designed optional bolt-on slides for each house, so that you can give your chicken a safe place to move (see below for single and double step settings)
