More than 2 twelve dogs died in the kennel fire, 22 have been saved

Authorities said the fire swept through the kennels in DuPage County on Monday and Monday, killing at least 29 dogs.
“This is probably the most difficult thing I have experienced as a veterinarian in 30 years,” Barbara Hanek, a veterinarian at the DuPage County Animal Service Bureau, told WBBM News Radio.
“We were able to find 22 live dogs and bring them here, and then we can evaluate them, assess their health and take medication when needed. Then we brought back 29 dead dogs.”
