Big news!Skechers offers 40,000 KN95 and surgical masks to health-care workers
After an initial donation of 4,000 N95 respirator masks to two South Bay hospitals, Skechers is continuing to make an impact on the local coronavirus crisis.
The Manhattan Beach shoe company announced they have procured 40,000 surgical and KN95 masks for distribution to health-care workers and first responders during the pandemic. The KN95 masks have been recently approved by the Federal Drug Administration as a suitable alternative to N95 masks which are in short supply.
A company spokesperson said Skechers sourced and imported the masks from its supply chain.
Skechers plans to allocate the masks to as many impacted hospitals, first responders and nursing care facilities as possible, said the spokesperson.
